A THOUSAND HITS. ONE DUCK.
$NAS took more direct hits than any bird has a right to survive. Instead of going down he wore every last one as a tile of color. Now the squadron keeps him airborne — on Solana.
He shouldn't have made it back from a single run. He's made it back from a thousand.
Nobody remembers who painted the first tile. That's the point.
Every run through the noise leaves a mark — a scrap of shrapnel — a burnt patch of feather — a color nobody planned for. Most pilots would call that damage. LAPNAS calls it armor.
By his hundredth run he wasn't a duck anymore. He was a mosaic wearing a duck-shaped hole in the sky — gold where he took a hit and held — green where he ducked and lived — blue where somebody caught him before he dropped.
He never once ejected. The goggles are the only original part left and even those are scratched to hell.
EXHIBIT B — RECOVERED INTACT
Not armor plating. Not luck. Just a few things that never change — run after run.
Every dip is a tile not a scar. The mosaic only gets richer under pressure — it doesn't get thinner.
No promises of a moon landing. Just a duck that has never once agreed to go down for good.
Holders aren't spectators. Each wallet is a fleck of color that makes the next run survivable.
Three legs. No promised altitude — just the route we're flying.
Bring a color nobody's used yet. There's a spot on the mosaic with your name on it.
